Bonds
These are single premium life assurance policies with no fixed maturity date
that may be encashed at any time, although Bonds are medium to long long-term
plans and the suggested period is upwards of five years. Investing in a Bond
will provide access to various markets with professionally managed funds. They
can be used either to accummulate a capital fund for future use or to provide
a regular tax-efficient income.
Investment
Bonds are asset-backed investments that provide an opportunity to protect your
capital against the effects of inflation. Generally, Investment Bonds do not
offer guaranteed returns, but over the longer term growth will aim to outperform
a bank or building society account.
Investment Warning:
Past performance is not necessarily a guide to the future and the value of units,
and the income provided from them, can go down as well as up. You are not guaranteed
to get back your original investment at any time.
