Ethical Investments
Ethical investors choose to take into account their social, political or environmental
concerns alongside their financial objectives. Such investors may decide that
they do not wish to invest in companies who are involved in the arms trade,
nuclear power or animal testing, for example, and wish to back companies involved
in the production of environmentally friendly products or which promote education
and training or the health and safety of their employees. Different criteria
can be applied to establish fund choices that satisfy the ethical investor’s
social, political or environmental conscience. There is a wide array of investment
and insurance products with links to Ethical Funds that will cover most financial
planning requirements.
Ethical investment represents a rapidly
growing sector within the industry to coincide with our growing awareness of
the social, political and environmental issues that affect us globally; issues
that the world as a whole needs to urgently address
Investment Warning:
Past performance is not necessarily a guide to the future and the value of units,
and the income provided from them, can go down as well as up. You are not guaranteed
to get back your original investment at any time.
