Ben started working in financial planning in 1989 and founded Rouse Limited in 1999. He is passionate about developing himself and his team, and as a consequence is now the Southern Regional Chairman of the Institute of Financial Planning.
He is committed to raising the profile of the Institute and to promoting continuing improvement and development of excellence across all areas of financial planning.
Ben has had a varied career - prior to becoming a financial planner twenty years ago, Ben worked as a dispatch rider and in security, though the closest he now gets to physical combat is in persuading his 40kg German Shepherd Tony to visit the vet. He also worked in the wine and fine food trade, culminating in opening Benedict\\\'s Fine Wines and Delicatessen with his father in 1985 and one of his life goals is to visit all the First Class growth Claret vineyards.
Outside work he is an avid sportsman, and takes part in rugby, clay pigeon shooting, sailing, walking and skiing and at some point in his busy life wishes to row across an ocean. He also loves cooking.
Ben’s favourite part of the Isle of Wight is the top of St Boniface Down on the South Coast, looking out towards the west where there are often fantastic views of South Dorset. He’s pleased to be celebrating Rouse Limited’s tenth anniversary and looks forward to the future and the enjoyment of working with our clients.
