Newport financial services firm awarded quality mark

Rouse Limited, a Newport financial services firm, has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001 international quality accreditation, after working closely with Business Link.

An organisation of independent financial advisers, authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), Rouse Limited has implemented a series of management systems to complement those already in place. It is now able to demonstrate its commitment to existing and future clients, providing customer focus at the highest level.

Graham White, Customer Relationship Manager for Business Link, together with Cheryl Burgess, an approved independent consultant, worked with the company over a 6 month period. Graham provided support and general advice and Cheryl provided the direction and knowledge needed to structure the systems in line with the requirements of the standard, without prejudicing the firm’s obligations to act within the requirements of the FSA.

Rouse Limited achieved the award after a rigorous assessment by SGS United Kingdom Limited, who follow strict processes under their accreditation with the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

Graham said: “By achieving and maintaining the ISO 9001 Rouse Ltd is sending out a strong message about the high standards that can be expected of them. This quality mark means that good practice has to be observed – the company will be subject to on-going surveillance on a 6-monthly basis and, if it does not keep meeting its quality objectives, then it would lose the accreditation.”
